Bubblecano! The Recording of a game Themesong

This excerpt, from our 36-hour livestream on Twitch, showcases my process of recording the themesong for Grant Skinner & Mike Gaboury's game, Bubblecano.

I wrote the theme on-set (moments after the name was chosen!) and this is a live process to track the entire theme (which opens the game itself).

You can now play the game (and hear all of my music, sound effects and sound design) here: http://gskinner.com/playpen/AdobeAnim...

Everything here is played live (largely in one take) and I'm using Native Instruments Kontakt (for the sounds) played through an M-Audio 88 Key controller, feeding Adobe Audition CC 2015. Michael Chaize acted as producer for the session, which was great, and ultimately allowed me to finish the recording all in the span of the broadcast.

Some highlights:

13:32 Tracking the Drums
22:07 Recording Guitars
26:41 Tracking the Hammond Organ (Billy Preston style:)
32:08 Recording Mono Synth bass
40:05 Some gratuitous cowbell
57:24 Live Vocals (one of several, as Michael and I will add background vocals as well)
